World Mission Prayer League
About World Mission Prayer League
The World Mission Prayer League is an independent Lutheran mission society and prayer fellowship, sending missionaries to sixteen countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. The mission of the League is to evangelize and plant churches where Christ is unknown or little known. In addition to this mission, the League seeks to fulfill the commandment to 'love our neighbor' by ministering through medicine, development, education and relief. The WMPL provides ministry opportunities to both men and women, lay people and clergy in all walks of life to actively participate in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
What “Trusted” Means
Trusted ministries meet our complete baseline framework for faithful Christian operation. This ministry has been verified against eleven of fifteen criteria in The Most Trusted Standard — demonstrating doctrinal clarity, biblical stewardship, independent financial review, faithful handling of donor intent, independent board governance, conflict-of-interest protections, truthful communications, and active mission-aligned programs.
Trusted represents the foundation on which our higher designations are built. Highly Trusted and Most Trusted ministries demonstrate additional levels of public transparency and independent evaluation that go beyond this baseline.
