Word and Deed
About Word and Deed
Word and Deed seeks to improve the spiritual and physical lives of those who have been deprived of the basic necessities of life by virtue of disease, poverty and/or natural disasters. This is accomplished through partnerships with indigenous churches and Christian organizations which enable us to support and administer development projects, child sponsorships, and disaster relief in conjunction with evangelistic efforts. We encourage Christians in North America to a greater awareness of and concern for the poor and engage them in the work of the Great Commission through education, fundraising, and work teams. Word & Deed's three main areas of emphasis are a focus on the gospel in all projects, partnering with and developing indigenous leadership, and encouraging self-sufficiency.
