The Foundation for American Christian Education
About The Foundation for American Christian Education
The mission of the Foundation for American Christian Education (FACE) is to teach and publish America’s Christian history and educational philosophy based on Biblical principles. We believe the Bible is the source of civil and religious liberty and the foundation of all learning and every issue of life. FACE co-founders Verna Hall and Rosalie Slater, through their research and publishing, laid the blueprint for restoring Christian and civil self-government to Americans. FACE trains Christian teachers and leaders in the Principle Approach®, the philosophy and methodology of authentic American Christian education, which is the same one used during America’s founding years. It encourages mastery of subjects, reasoning, and thinking, as well as skill-building, leading to high academic achievement. It places the Bible at the heart of the curriculum, fostering a love for God, liberty, and American principles of government. This is the manner of education that formed the worldview of the thinkers and writers who shaped our US Constitution. The FACE Principle Approach® Master Teacher Certification Program ensures teachers are trained and equipped to apply the Biblical principles of education to every subject in the curriculum, building character for future leadership. Our Leading Schools Program equips qualified leaders with a step-by-step plan and individual mentoring to launch and sustain a Principle Approach® school. FACE seeks to develop Principle Approach® Teaching Centers nationwide.Publishing America’s Christian history is a hallmark of FACE programs. Volumes include The Christian History of the Constitution of the United States of America, Volumes I, II, III, compiled by Verna Hall and others, Teaching and Learning America’s Christian History: The Principle Approach, by Rosalie Slater, and American Dictionary of the English Language, 1828 Facsimile Edition, by Noah Webster. FACE also publishes The Noah Plan, a Principle Approach curriculum for grades K-12. The Hall-Slater Library, a 12,000+ volume library, was founded by Verna Hall and Rosalie Slater to establish a bulwark against socialism and Marxism. Today, this library is essential, protecting primary sources from digital manipulation. It is a repository that safeguards America’s Christian History, and it is maintained by FACE.FACE programs are reseeding the next generation of Biblical leadership to restore the foundations of American liberty.
