About The Bridge Haiti

The Bridge Haiti exists to invest in Haitians; encouraging them to pursue their God given callings to radically impact the lives of others. In April 2019, the current leadership of The Bridge felt directed by God to take some time to fast and pray. After this period, they believed that God was leading them through simple obedience to host a Bible Study for young women in Gressier, Haiti. The idea was that they would create a safe place for women to learn the gospel and fellowship together. As they stepped out in faith, the humble beginnings included a total of 7 people. The desire was to reach this region with the Kingdom of God. Haitians Fedner and Ritha Antoine and American Hannah Stucker could not begin to imagine the impact it would have in just 5 years’ time. From the onset, their desire was to do it differently. Utilizing the strengths ofthe indigenous leadership, the ministry would be led by locals, who understand the cultural traditions and important factors relevant to the Haitian peoples while simultaneously being supported by American leaders and partners. The Bridge has grown beyond the expectations imagined early on. Armed with a shoestring budget, limited staff, resources, and the ever-changing environment in Haiti, there was still immediate enthusiasm that resulted in rapid growth. Over 800 women currently receive ministry weekly. The Bridge focuses on 4 key areas, which are: Spiritual Development, Continuing Education, Mental Health Services, and Community Emergency Services. We have seen the beginnings of the movement of God, which gives us the hope and faith to believe for a community and a nation transformed. There are a great number of challenges that will continue to exist for some time to come. Civil war, gang violence, foreign invaders, no governance, and the ongoing difficulty of surviving daily life. We believe that Haiti is on the verge of a great awakening that will take them from the most dangerous place on earth, to a place of peace and rest. We believe God is on the move, and He has put us in this place for such a time as this!
