Project MedSend
About Project MedSend
Project MedSend enables Christian healthcare missionaries to thrive in their mission of meeting physical need while modeling the love of Christ. We do this by providing financial support and access to whole person missionary care. MedSend financial support makes it possible for US healthcare missionaries to quickly answer the call to serve long-term where they live in the communities they serve, train indigenous health care providers, and influence the direction of healthcare of the nations. MedSend awards educational loan repayment grants to US career healthcare missionaries. MedSend also provides financial support for the National Scholars Program by sponsoring the advanced medical and biblical training of non-American Christian healthcare professionals in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Advanced residency training in surgery, family medicine and other specialties launches them into professional leadership roles as cross-cultural missionaries in their natural culture. Additionally, MedSend has designed a multi-faceted initiative to provide professional, relational, and spiritual support to healthcare missionaries, called The Longevity Project. Our design incorporates diverse programs that can be tailored to fit individual needs. It operates on an annual subscription basis heavily subsidized by donor support. The healthcare missionaries themselves decide which programs best fit their needs and spend their grant on those programs only.
