Never Alone Widows
About Never Alone Widows
Our founder, Rachel Faulkner Brown, was widowed twice by the age of 31, leaving her with two children under the age of two. In Isaiah 61, God promises to “provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” It is from this promise that Never Alone Widows was born. Not only did Rachel find love again and marry an incredible man who has fathered her two children for the last 11 years, but she also launched Never Alone Widows in 2018 to help widows through their journey of finding the same hope and healing she experienced. Never Alone Widows operates as a faith-based ministry based in Atlanta, Georgia. Our main objective is to offer healing, comfort, and a community to widows through many initiatives, including retreats, national conferences, online resources and a movement of Never Alone local chapters forming all over the nation. These local groups are facilitated by widows who have personally benefited from our retreats, conferences and resources, and are driven by a shared desire to contribute to our growing community by assisting other widows. Our belief is that women who have undergone the untimely loss of a spouse can encounter the lavish love of their Heavenly Father and move from pain to hope to purpose. We exist to walk the journey with them.
What “Trusted” Means
Trusted ministries meet our complete baseline framework for faithful Christian operation. This ministry has been verified against eleven of fifteen criteria in The Most Trusted Standard — demonstrating doctrinal clarity, biblical stewardship, independent financial review, faithful handling of donor intent, independent board governance, conflict-of-interest protections, truthful communications, and active mission-aligned programs.
Trusted represents the foundation on which our higher designations are built. Highly Trusted and Most Trusted ministries demonstrate additional levels of public transparency and independent evaluation that go beyond this baseline.
