About Modesto Gospel Mission
Since 1948, the Modesto Gospel Mission has provided nutritious meals, warm beds, and a place of safety to thousands of poor and homeless men, women, and children. Our mission is to provide a place of refuge for recovery and restoration through the power of Jesus Christ. The Mission provides multiple programs such as emergency shelter for men, women, and children guests (includes clothes, showers, meals, and beds); an 18-month residential New Life Program for men and women; a Day Program for homeless men and women; transitional apartments for men and women; supportive group housing for women and children; job and life skills training and high school education facilitation; case management for homeless guests; recuperative care for post-hospitalization needs for homeless; sobering center; an after-school program for at-risk youth at the Mission Youth Center; HopeWorks workforce development program of litter abatement and graffiti removal; and Volente Coffee Roasters, a social enterprise and workforce development program for NLP disciples.
