Metro Hope Ministries is a Christ-centered, residential, long-term recovery program serving mothers with their children, women, and men who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction along with other behavioral issues that are destroying their lives. This is where addiction ends and families are restored through the power of Jesus Christ since 1926. Metro Hope is unique for several reasons. First, we are 100% Christ-centered. We offer NO secular programming. We walk with our residents into a growing relationship with Jesus through our Biblical discipleship and recovery classes. We believe that Jesus holds the answer to every problem we have, including addiction. We can easily say that Metro Hope is 100% successful because our true mission is leading the addicted into a growing relationship with The Savior, then He is able to remove the addiction and other sinful behaviors. Another unique piece of Metro Hope is our Guest Rooms. When someone decides they want help with their addiction, the window is very small. We can bring individuals into our Guest Rooms in as quick as an hour because we do not wait for funding approval which can take 3 days to 2 weeks. At Metro Hope, saving their life is our first priority. The guests can spend 2 weeks in the Guest Rooms detoxing, eating, sleeping, and coming back to life. They begin our programs then decide if they want to continue with us or we will help them into a different organization. The most unique program at Metro Hope is our mothers and children's programs. Typically a mother has to choose between help for her addiction and her children but at Metro Hope, a mother brings her children with her where they live together full-time, heal and grow under the love of Jesus. Metro Hope is the ONLY Christ-centered, addiction focused, residential program in the Twin Cities that allows children ages 0-10 to live full-time with their mothers. That is because caring for the children is expensive and difficult, but God's heart is for families so we are obedient to His call. We are excellent at helping mothers with active Child Protections cases be reunified with their children. We are also helping more women, and their children, with addiction who are escaping domestic violence and trafficking. Our recovery programming runs for 5-12 months. We do not have cookie-cutter programming because each person's issues, trauma, and willingness to dig in are different. Each resident's program is built specifically for them. We also offer housing for up to 2 years for our women and children because safe and affordable housing is difficult to find. We require our residents to have an active role in a home church, to be working and/or in school, and to have a safe place to live before they can graduate. Graduates are also welcome to come back to attend events, eat a meal and attend chapel or devotions. Metro Hope is a place of community for residents and graduates who know they are loved and safe, understanding that they are precious children of God.
