About Haven of Rest Ministries

Haven of Rest Ministries was founded in Akron, Ohio, in 1942, as a Christian social service organization providing emergency and residential care to the disadvantaged people of the community at large. The Rescue Mission ministers to the physical and spiritual needs of transient, indigent and alcoholic men, and Harvest Home is a shelter for women and children in crisis circumstances. At Haven of Rest Ministries, every area of outreach is based entirely upon the love and saving power of Jesus Christ.
