About Cross Bar X Youth Ranch
Cross Bar X is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Durango, CO. It was established in 1977 and received tax-exempt status in 1978. Cross Bar X's mission statement is as follows: Cross Bar X exists to reach socially and economically disadvantaged youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Cross Bar X serves at-risk, low income youth ages 8-18 coming from La Plata, Archuleta, and Montezuma Counties. These youth come from partnering organizations in each of these areas including individual foster homes and are often referred by the Department of Human Services. The primary modes of ministry that Cross Bar X programs for these youth are 6-day and 9-day summer camps and outreach programs throughout the year. CBX also utilizes weekend retreats and day mentoring programs.
