About Breakthrough

Breakthrough was started by well-known Christian author Catherine Marshall and her husband, Leonard LeSourd. Through books and articles, Catherine shared her own miraculous healing and remarkable intimacy with God. Breakthrough grew out of God's vision to Catherine to bring together those who were in need of intercessory prayer with those willing to pray. People from around the world responded by sharing their personal needs and volunteering to be Christian intercessors. Today, Breakthrough processes over 240,000 prayer requests annually through 4,000 intercessors worldwide. If you feel called to intercede for others or wish to request prayer, please contact us.

Most Trusted is our highest designation, reflecting the full convergence of Christian stewardship, public transparency, and independently confirmed operational excellence.
