Bible Training Centre for Pastors
About Bible Training Centre for Pastors
At the Bible Training Centre for Pastors (BTCP), our mission is to extend foundational, non-formal theological training to the world's untrained pastors. The need is significant; there are more than three million pastors in the world without training, and the number is growing. Through over 200 accountable implementing ministry partners, the BTCP concept and 10-course curriculum are utilized in 90+ countries. Since 1990, there have been over 160,000 graduates of the program; almost 30,000 students are currently in training. BTCP uses 39 translations of the curriculum with another 18 languages in development. Our ministry is motivated by the love of Christ and the Word of God. Four Bible passages — Matthew 28:18–20; 2 Timothy 3:15–17; Ephesians 4:11–16; and Timothy 2:1–2 — provide focus, determine priorities, and “set a watch” over our mission.
What “Trusted” Means
Trusted ministries meet our complete baseline framework for faithful Christian operation. This ministry has been verified against eleven of fifteen criteria in The Most Trusted Standard — demonstrating doctrinal clarity, biblical stewardship, independent financial review, faithful handling of donor intent, independent board governance, conflict-of-interest protections, truthful communications, and active mission-aligned programs.
Trusted represents the foundation on which our higher designations are built. Highly Trusted and Most Trusted ministries demonstrate additional levels of public transparency and independent evaluation that go beyond this baseline.
