About Alpha Grand Rapids

Alpha Grand Rapids is a Christ-centered nonprofit, where all services focus on bringing the compassionate love Jesus to people. AGR assists men and women in crisis, many of whom are facing an unplanned pregnancy. AGR has 4 distinct departments: MEDICAL SERVICES offers free STD testing, pregnancy tests and limited ultrasounds, and counseling to help encourage life-affirming choices. SUPPORT SERVICES offers free one-on-one mentoring, a weekly single mom support group that provides Bible studies, life skills, crafts, child care, and a hot lunch. EDUCATION SERVICES offers free Pregnancy Education, Parenting Education, GED, English As Second Language, Spanish Speaking Support Group, and Jail Ministry. MATERIAL RESOURCES offers free maternity clothes, diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, infant-toddler clothing, and all supplies needed to care for a baby. AGR is expanding to include a men's center to offer the same resources to the men in the community.
