African Leadership
About African Leadership
We exist to equip African leaders who courageously pursue the lasting betterment of their communities. Each is already serving as anything from teachers to doctors to pastors - yet they want to learn how to lead better; especially in the midst of recurring war, extreme famine, disease, and natural disasters, as well as the traumatic burden those experiences bring. We believe that in order to lead others well, you must first be filled spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Knowing who you are and Whose you are changes the way you engage your community. Knowing the truth of Scripture and the invitation to reconcile the world to God gives purpose to your days. Learning emotional triggers, healthy boundaries, and how to engage someone’s trauma gives any individual a starting place in caring for the person in front of them. African Leadership offers these leaders a two-year education process that includes intentional mentorship with a qualified African teacher, targeted coursework including biblical worldview, discipleship and church planting, community asset development and trauma healing, and hands-on skills training.
What “Highly Trusted” Means
Highly Trusted reflects a ministry's commitment to operating transparently and accountably beyond Christian-specific stewardship standards alone. This ministry has been verified against fourteen of fifteen criteria of The Most Trusted Standard — demonstrating biblical financial integrity, sound governance, and a complete framework of governance policies.
What distinguishes Highly Trusted is the additional commitment to public transparency. This ministry has made its financial records, governance information, and program reporting accessible to the public, putting its operations in the open where any donor can examine them.
